    Insurance claims

    If you are in the unfortunate situation of having to lodge a claim following ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, know that RACQ Insurance will be with you every step of the way.

    The quickest way to lodge your claim is either online or via My RACQ.

    Our team can arrange emergency make-safe work, organise temporary accommodation and provide cash payments for emergency purchases. We can also arrange food spoilage payments under your contents insurance. T&Cs apply.

    To make the process smoother, have these items on-hand before starting your claim:

    • Your member number or policy number
    • A brief description of when the damage occurred and photos of what you want to claim
    • Names, phone numbers and addresses of any relevant parties

    You can also lodge a claim over the phone by calling our team on 13 7202.

    Our helpful staff are working hard to provide ongoing support to our members. Some of the team members across South East Queensland have also been personally impacted by the cyclone so we appreciate your patience during this time.

    RACQ has resumed roadside assistance in SEQ, however we are experiencing extended hold times and delays. Thank you for showing patience with our teams.

    If we can’t reach out and you and you find yourself in a life-threatening situation on the road, call emergency services on 000.

Road Safety

During severe weather, it’s important that you stay off the roads and avoid unnecessary travel if you can. If you have to be on the road, make sure you take heed of road closure signage and plan your route in advance using the information on RACQ Road Conditions. Always know that floodwater is deeper than you may think and remember; if it’s flooded, forget it.
